As I lay in the oh so quiet meadow I wait for my love Mary she and I have been married for 20 years now and are still deeply in love, today is our 20th anniversary we have agreed to meet each other in the exact spot we met here in the meadow underneath the tree that has engraved Mary 4 John that had been there since we were 16 I wait quietly with her favourite flower the daisy I delicately hold it in my hands as I wait for her... It has now been 3 hours and i am beginning to worry I get up and start heading for the car as I get in the car I get a sudden shock when my phone rings very loudly I answer with “Hello John Smith speaking” it was Angela, Mary’s sister she sounded worried she told me that Mary had been in a very horrible car accident and is in the hospital undergoing major surgery I burst into tears and hang up the phone with no response I get to the hospital as fast as I can when I arrive the surgeon tells me that I will have to wait to see my beloved Mary I can’t wait when my wife is lying there helplessly in a hospital bed I thought to myself in anger. The doctor comes out and I leap from my seat he tells me that she won’t be able to hear me as she is in a deep coma when he shows me to her room I see tubes and wires everywhere all linked to one thing... my Mary . I so wish she could here me when I tell her how much I love her.
Angela tells me to go home for some rest as I have been here 4 days straight but I can’t I just can’t but I go anyway I told her she had to call me if anything happens she promised. The next morning I race to the hospital when I get there Mary is in tears I know something is terribly wrong I ask with worry she tells me my beloved Mary was taken off life support with no consent while Angela was asleep at exactly 2:03 am.
I run outside in tears and everything goes blank the last thing I saw was the flower grasped in my hands.
